THE AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION was established in April, 1956

THE TEXAS SOCIETY OF PSYCHIATRIC PHYSICIANS Tarrant Chapter (TSPPTC) was established in June 20, 1986

The TSPPTC was established by Jim Malone, M. D, President, on December 15, 1979, with Murray Skaggs, M. D., President elect; Virgil Cox, Jr., M. D., Secretary. The Chapter, over the years, has continued to inform, educate, and lobby for changes in matters pertaining to our profession and patient care.

Mission Statement for Tarrant Chapter of TSPP, we will provide a stable venue for:

 

  • a. Discussions related to psychiatric practice and mental health needs of our community.

 

  • b. Ongoing medical education and professional development.

 

  • c. Healthy professional fellowship among peers.
